Traditionally the junior college tour would cover institutions of higher education in the state of Michigan. However, this year Mrs. Gonzales thought it would be a great opportunity for the Upward Bound students to see some premiere institutions as well as have the chance to visit the East Coast.

In addition, Mrs. Gonzales adds, “The Ivy Leagues have wonderful scholarships and other opportunities that they offer to recruit a talented and diverse student body. I want our students to know that they have a lot of options. And, I want them to take full advantage of every opportunity out there!”

The Junior College Campus tour is scheduled for,
April 17 - 20, 2006. Students will spend one evening in Cambridge, Massachusetts and will visit campuses in Rhode Island and Connecticut on their way to New York. The rest of their time will be spent in the Big Apple, New York City. It promises to be a very busy and exciting journey.
