Outstanding Student Trip
Ten Upward Bound members will be rewarded with a trip to Cincinnati,
Ohio, for an action-packed weekend. Each year we invite students who have
displayed outstanding academic performance, citizenship and participation at
Upward Bound activities as well as in their respective schools. The following students
serve as role models for their peers and the Upward Bound staff is very proud of them:

Upward Bound Eastern Michigan University |
| Students will be staying at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cincinnati (oh-la-la). They will visit two college campuses (Central State University and the University of Cincinnati), enjoy a evening at the Ensemble Theatre, shop at the historical Findley Market, tour the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and get spooked during FEARFEST at Kings Island. Upward Bound is searching for students interested in participating in Upward Bound’s Student Advisory Board for the 2005-2006 academic year. The purpose for the advisory board is to provide students with leadership opportunities in the Upward Bound Program. Student Advisory Board members will help make decisions with regards to enrichment and extracurricular activities, peer mediation and to author a student “spotlight” section for the Upward Bound Web s ite and newsletter.
